How the 468 rule works
Under Hong Kong law, if you work 68 hours or more
in any rolling 4-week window (Sunday to Saturday),
you are, by law, considered full-time. This tool helps you stay aware.
You're on my watch list โ but in a good way.
Your hours are tracked, your pace is steady,
and your schedule has breathing room.
Shift swaps and pickups? Generally fine.
Just check with your manager before you commit.
We will assess your schedule.
You're close enough that every hour counts.
No pickups. No shift swaps. No early clock-ins.
Even 15 minutes a day adds up to over an hour a week.
Your manager will review your remaining headroom
and may adjust your upcoming shifts to keep you safe.
You are now on a continuous contract.
Under Hong Kong law, 68 hours in 4 weeks means
you are legally considered full-time.
Do not work another shift until your manager
has spoken with P&C and confirmed next steps.
This is not a warning โ this is the law.
